19.04.2024 - Chag Pesach Sameach from HIAS+JCORE

Dear supporter,

Pesach gives us opportunity to reflect on our community’s own refugee history – and to draw connections with the experiences of those seeking safety today.

So it’s poignant that this year’s festival coincides with the Rwanda Bill’s return to Parliament. As we remember our journey to freedom, it’s crucial that we make our voices heard for present day refugees.

That’s why we’ve joined with Rabbis across the community to speak out against the Rwanda plan. Click here to watch our Pesach message, calling for a fairer, more compassionate refugee policy.

Bring solidarity with refugees to your Seder

Looking to include a deeper exploration of global refugee issues at your Seder? Our colleagues at HIAS have produced two excellent resources to help! Click here to download HIAS’ new ‘Sharing the Bread of Liberation‘ reflection – and download the HIAS Haggadah by visiting here.

Wishing you and your family a very happy Pesach,

David, Amos and the team
