23.05.2024 - Jewish values at the ballot box
Dear supporter,
As you’ll have seen, yesterday evening Rishi Sunak called a General Election for July 4th.
Migration is likely to be front and centre of this election. So throughout the campaign, we’ll be ensuring that politicians across all parties hear the Jewish values case for refugee policies – and an asylum system – based on compassion and responsibility.
But we can’t do this work without your support. Please click here to donate to our work – together, we can ensure that a strong, Jewish voice for refugee rights is heard.
In the run up to the election, we’ve been working hard engaging with MPs, peers and Assembly Members across the political spectrum, calling for a society where displaced people can flourish.
And in the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing resources to help you urge candidates to back the fair, just policies we need – watch this space!
Join us for ‘War Through Children’s Eyes’
Refugee Week 2024 falls right in the middle of the election campaign – and in the run-up to this year’s festival, we’re proud to be partnering with Generation to Generation, Rene Cassin and Waging Peace for ‘War Through Children’s Eyes’ on Wednesday 5th June.
This important event will explore children’s experiences of conflict, alongside work being done to support Sudanese refugees in the UK.
