Rosh Hashanah invites us to imagine the world as it could be: fair, just, and guided by compassion.
So in 5786, we must say – enough is enough. Anti-refugee hate, policies that fail people seeking sanctuary, and government rhetoric that doesn’t change the narrative must all become a thing of the past.
Our Jewish traditions and values teach that we are all responsible for one another. If we continue to show solidarity and welcome – choosing partnership over division – we can build a better future for all.
Let’s ensure that the shofar’s blast is also a wake-up call to our government and leaders: a moment of clarity that sets a new path.
Shana Tova from all at HIAS+JCORE.
